Harry van Tongeren is a born and bred Cantabrian who is still passionate about the city he grew up in. As managing director of Cantcomm, Harry is proud to work with what he believes is a team made up of the crème de la crème of agents.
It is now more than 16 years since Harry first began his career in real estate, and he has never looked back. In his first six years working in the property market, Harry was widely recognised as being a top achiever, making some of Christchurch’s larger property sales.
For Harry, the ability to build strong relationships between agent and client is the key to success. His ultimate goal is to raise the standard of the way agents work with clients - forming relationships as opposed to making transactions – something he is fast achieving through the team he has gathered at Cantcomm.
Renowned as a leader in his field, Harry is a committee member with the Canterbury & Westland REINZ – the regional authority for real estate issues and protocols. He is also a member of the disputes committee for the MREINZ.
When it comes to business, Harry is extremely focused. He is a dedicated leader who thrives on seeing Cantcomm’s clients succeed in their own business areas. Harry knows what a difference the right property investment decision can make and shares his years of experience with both clients and fellow Cantcomm agents.
Married with two children, Harry is a golfer and is a keen fisherman and enjoys exploring the South Island’s rivers.

Hamish brings a wealth of both international and local business experience to his recently appointed role at Cantcomm, and is delighted to be part of the team. Hamish is focused on providing exceptional service, and he prides himself on his ability to listen to his clients’ individual property requirements, whether they be in the form of Commercial or Industrial. He combines these requirements with his enthusiasm and knowledge to help guide his clients towards achieving their desired property outcome. Hamish’s business experience is drawn from previously owning a successful sports medicine practice in Christchurch. After catching the travel bug as the result of working with a number of international sports teams, he left New Zealand to work his way around the world, which led him to the role of business development manager for a large American company. In the States, he was in charge of the set up and development of retail stores onboard some of the world’s largest cruise ships.
On his return to Christchurch, prior to joining the team at Cantcomm Hamish turned his focus to the city’s warehouse and logistics industry. He worked for one of the industry’s most respected companies as a member of their senior management team. Involved in all aspects of third party logistics, Hamish was directly involved in ensuring that clients’ service requirements were met assisting with their business development needs. Hamish enjoys a busy lifestyle outside of work, where he loves spending time with his family and being involved in a variety of sporting and recreational activities.

With a history of working in the construction industry, Chris Frank brings a wealth of building knowledge to the team at Cantcomm.
Before joining Cantcomm in 2002, Chris worked as a quantity surveyor and project manager in New Zealand, South Africa, and the United Kingdom. Today, Chris combines this experience with his wealth of knowledge of the Christchurch property market to bring his clients a comprehensive service.
Ask Chris about a particular Christchurch building, and it is highly likely that he will be able to provide a rundown of its history. Chris loves buildings full stop – whether they be old or new.
With a sound understanding and appreciation of the costs of building, Chris can advise his clients from the planning stage through to construction, and will guide them towards commercially sensitive architects and designers.
For the past 40 years, Chris has been working within the building and property markets. He does not see himself as a sales person, instead he puts the choices in front of his clients and helps guide them towards the right one.

Wing draws on his own time spent as a retailer in the fast food industry for 30 years in order to understand his clients’ retail space requirements. During this time, he shifted premises four times and has a thorough appreciation for location requirements and where clientele is drawn from.
A friendly agent with an approachable manner, Wing analyses his clients’ individual property requirements and discusses their long term objectives.
Having built up his own property investment portfolio, Wing is passionate about the industry and shares his knowledge with clients. He is able to quickly put a value to a building and has the vision to see how values can be lifted and their full potential achieved.

Part of the ever-growing Asian Chinese community in Christchurch, Wing moved to New Zealand as a preschooler. In his spare time, he likes to play badminton or take to the slopes of one of Canterbury’s ski fields. A recent introduction to the joys of cycling saw Wing take part in his first Le Race from Christchurch to Akaroa recently.

Anne is a team player who is willing to try her hand in all areas of the business. As well as helping on sales and marketing, she also deals with the company’s accounting and banking requirements, and works alongside Debra in administration.
Proud of the work ethic she and husband Harry have surrounded themselves with, Anne describes Cantcomm’s environment as being similar to a family, where everyone works hard but also enjoys having fun along the way.
Aiming to providing the best service possible, Anne is passionate about both people and property. Conscious of the fact that the real estate market is very competitive, Anne strives to ensure that clients are contacted on a regular basis and that they are provided with the support and knowledge that comes as an advantage to all Cantcomm clients.
Fond of the outdoors, Anne enjoys taking to the hills around Sumner and nearby Hanmer Springs during her time away from the office. She is also a keen tennis player and fits in going to the gym around her busy schedule.
